At SkyCrest International School, a boutique international preschool and kindergarten in Denenchofu, Tokyo, we believe the finest early childhood education begins with wonder. We welcome children from 12 months through our English immersion nursery, preschool, kindergarten, and after school programs.
We believe children learn best through meaningful experiences. Our educational approach brings together inquiry-based learning, Montessori-inspired education, nature-based exploration, hands-on life science, and authentic Japanese cultural experiences, creating a calm and nurturing environment where curiosity naturally leads to confidence.
Immersed in English throughout the day, children are encouraged to observe, ask questions, solve problems, and express themselves with creativity and independence. Every experience is thoughtfully designed to engage all five senses and foster a genuine connection with the natural world.

At SkyCrest International School, I have thoughtfully created an environment where children are surrounded by nature, meaningful human connection, and the freedom to explore the world with curiosity and confidence.
My hope is to offer a childhood that feels calm, enriching, and deeply nurturing during the years that matter most.
From the very beginning, SkyCrest was envisioned as more than a school. I wanted to create a place where children could grow with curiosity, confidence, and wonder, while remaining deeply connected to nature, culture, and the people around them.
Together with my husband, MD, PhD, I continue to carefully shape an environment where children are encouraged to think independently, express themselves creatively, and develop a genuine understanding of themselves and the world around them.
From seasonal exploration and hands-on discovery to quiet everyday moments of growth, I believe the most meaningful learning happens naturally — through relationships, conversation, beauty, movement, and wonder.
At SkyCrest, childhood is not rushed. It is respected, celebrated, and thoughtfully nurtured.
